Remembering when they were young;
MaMa would dress them all alike.
In little pink Easter dresses;
Up the hill they would hike.
Even at an Easter egg hunt,
They were taught to compete.
Who would fine the most eggs,
In all of that heat?
All the apples of dad’s eye,
Three little girls, two years apart.
One pretty, one clever,
And one very smart.
As they grew older, one had more,
And the others had less.
It finally came down to,
Who’s really better than the rest?
Sister, Sister,
Can you spare a dime?
Hell no! I’m busy,
I don’t have time.
Three pink Easter dresses,
May have all look the same.
The little girls wearing them,
Now, share only a maiden name.
Competition is fun as a child
Sibling rivalry is not.
Unlike an Easter egg hunt,
Sisterly love means a lot.
In the game of life,
Sisters should be good friends.
When there are no losers,
The whole family wins.
