Elected officials enjoy the high horses which they sit.

They only come down when forced to submit.

 

Some take their jobs seriously and others are not legit.

Public Service is designed to be for the people’s benefit.

 

Some leaders believe “you make your bed; you lie in it.”

Good public servants are willing to the citizens, to commit.

 

Power is a gift from God; some leaders will admit.

Others represent the other side of the original split.

 

Compassion for people doesn’t come in a kit.

Cast your vote anyway, and pray it is a hit.

 

The “greater good” requires action as well as wit.

You can vote them out, if the slipper doesn’t fit.
